The Outside-the-Box Recovery
Relapse Prevention Plan
Re-introducing the Outside-the-Box Recovery Relapse Prevention Plan. (This link will take you to the store, where you can download a clean and updated version for free!)
The handout includes 4 pages:
Page 1 is a checklist identifying warning symptoms and triggers, negative effects of drugs/alcohol, and the good stuff about being clean & sober.
Page 2 is about skills and fun, i.e. how to deal with stress and build resilience against cravings. If you haven’t ever searched elgoog.im or done a barrel row with your computer, you’ll have fun with this one.
Page 3, goofy and serious, takes on emergency craving management.
Page 4 describes additional ways to strengthen recovery.
Ideally the handout would be filled out in advance, but it can serve as an acute rescue packet too.
