Looking for a new way to take on relapse prevention?
Introducing our Outside-the-Box Recovery Relapse Prevention Plan!
Recently updated, this is a 4-page worksheet that helps people in recovery maneuver through difficult moments: cravings, stress, and vulnerability.
Page one focuses on identifying warning symptoms and triggers, reviewing negative effects of drugs/alcohol, and the worthwhile aspects of staying clean/sober.
Page two is aimed at preparing for stress and cravings ahead of time. It’s serious, it’s funny, and it’s worth reading.
Page three takes on emergency urge management, i.e. ways to avoid using.
The fourth page provides link information for booklets to help with other aspects of addiction and recovery.
Ideally the handout would be filled out in advance, but it serves as an acute rescue packet too. Its checklist format makes it easy to use during life’s rougher moments.
Fine print:
There is no fine print. It’s really free, as we think it can benefit many people. You won’t be charged! All you need is an email. Download, save it on your computer, and print up as many copies as you’d like. Make sure to print or save, though, as the link sometimes expires.
This worksheet is written for for the general public as well as for drug and alcohol counselors to use with clients.
Still here? 😎
Okay, don’t forget to take a look at the (hopefully) upcoming Outside-the-Box Recovery Workbook. It’s written for addiction counselors and the public alike.
Filled with relapse prevention & coping skills, alter egos, art assignments, fiction-writing, puzzles, and much more, The Outside-the-Box Recovery Workbook takes the reader on a 120-page introductory journey through the world of sobriety. It’s about surviving addiction and creating a life worth living. It’s meant to be the first of a series of similar workbooks.
This book will be available in 2022, if the gods allow. Every new subscription and every booklet downloaded gets us one step closer to getting this monster published. Thanks!
